Who we are

Scottish Counselling Collective is a group of  independent Counsellors, based in the Highlands, who were working for Scottish Counselling Services until sadly it closed in April 2023.   In order to continue providing the services for adults that had been offered by SCS for many years, the Scottish Counselling Collective was formed.

How we work
The Counsellors at Scottish Counselling Collective operate as sole traders but work with a confidential central referral system in order to be able to offer you an appointment within a very short time.
We work with members of the public who refer themselves privately for a multitude of issues as listed below. Currently our charge per session is £42.50
We also offer reasonably priced counselling and psychotherapy sessions for the employees of a variety of organisations within the Highlands and other parts of Scotland. An example of our service contract is available upon request.
Sessions may be in-person in Inverness, Elgin or Findhorn, or they can be on-line via zoom or via telephone.

Who we work with
Counselling and psychotherapy can help support people through a large range of issues including but not limited to: anxiety, stress, bereavement, trauma, work challenges, relationship challenges, life changes, depression, ill health, life direction and decision making.

Testimonial
"My experience of counselling was a very positive one. It was not an easy journey but the counsellor

was compassionate, understanding, had a good knowledge of the situation and was able to draw out
and explore complications and issues in my life.
Through the sessions we challenged my pain, my anger, my self-doubt and my irrational thoughts
which led to my inability to deal with every day life pressures. I had a variety of sessions over a
period of time and the counsellor supported me through tears, anger, lack of confidence, frustration
and I learnt how to explore my destructive thoughts and use positive techniques to bring me back to
a happy, confident person.
If you are considering counselling and are nervous or unsure whether to do so, I would strongly
recommend you contact Scottish Counselling Collective and seek support of a professional counsellor to
guide you on your own personal road to recovery......."
